In 2005, I graduated with honors from East Carolina University in middle grades education--math & science. My GPA was 3.701, and I was a Teaching Fellow. I have a teaching license for grades 6-12 math and science. I now home school 4 children and can tutor part time.
Experience
Since 2008, I have enjoyed tutoring on my own. However, starting in 2000-2001, my tutoring experience has come from Youth Providing Leadership, Teaching Fellows, the JOY Center, and Sylvan. Out of 1600, my SAT score was 1330 (math: 720, verbal: 610). I tutor because I love to help students of all ages, and I am making money to afford to stay home with my children. I taught middle and high school for 6 years. Relevant classes I've taken (mostly honors level) include calculus 1 & 2, statistics & probability, trigonometry, anatomy & physiology 1 & 2, biological chemistry, English (literature, grammar, and composition), 4 years of Spanish, and too many to list in psychology & education. It always makes me happy to help students who want to learn. *Disclaimer: like other tutors, I charge for "no show" because I blocked out your session time just for you. You can reschedule an extra session to make up this time. (Of course I can make an exception if something unusual happened like a car crash.)

I enjoy reading, singing, going to the beach, playing games, and anything to do with Lord of the Rings. I love swimming and softball, but my favorite activity is volleyball.
